Yes, that´s me shamelessly taking a shot of my book by the Big Ben.

Everybody writes from a different place, everybody feels inspired by different things.

Or why would this illustration be the most important page in my picture book.

Once I had created a storyboard I was staisfied with, I started to illustrate. I use Photoshop CS6 and I work by layers. I will show you what that means through this example:
